Organica Gayo

Sumatra Mandheling

Celebestica Tana Toraja

Tana Toraja located at the south of Celebes island -one of the four large Sunda islands of Indonesia and it is situated between Borneo and the Maluku island- known as a “Land of heavenly Kings”. Beautiful highland inhabited by Toraja ethnic group are renowned for their elaborate funeral rites, burial sites carved into rocky cliffs, massive peaked-roof traditional houses known as Tongkonan, and colorful wood carvings.

Coffee are planted during Dutch Colonies 100 years ago. Most of Sulawesi’s coffee is grown by small-holders, Toraja arabica coffee is known for its intense fruitty aroma, high body, medium acidity, nutty, warm spicy, sweet and long aftertaste. It is grown at altitudes 1200m and reach 2.000 meter above sea level on rocky soil land with large amount of iron contents.

Celebestica Gowa

Gowa is one of the regency at south Sulawesi also the name of most influenced kingdom established at 1300+, 16th King of Gowa Sultan Hasanuddin supported by Bugis Makassar groups to fight with VOC at 17 th century for trade and territories. Gowa coffee planted at the slope of Lompo Batang Volcanic highland, at altitute above 1260 meter from sea level, this new origin coffee is not popular in local and international although produces since long time ago by small growers. Gowa specialty coffee has unique character compares to Toraja or Kalossi, with fruity, spicy and nutty combined in balanced and smooth that suits for daily consumptions.

Organica Flores Bajawa

Flores is a small island (360 km from tip to tip) in the Indonesian archipelago around 200 nautical miles East of Bali. Flores was known as Pulau Nipa (Snake Island) before the Portuguese arrived and they renamed it Flores (Flower Island) for the beautiful coral gardens that surround it. The Portuguese influence has also made Flores a predominately Catholic island. The island of Komodo, just to the west, is home to the world’s largest lizard – the Komodo Dragon. A very long thin Mountainous land with incredibly diverse terrain, and numerous active and inactive volcanic peaks. The Bajawa Highlands are one of the most traditional areas of Flores. Bajawa is a small town nestled in the hills and is the centre for the Ngada people of this high, fertile plateau of mt. Inerie. The coffee is grown between 1200 and 1600 meters in fertile organic soil, Most of the production is grown under shade trees and wet processed at farm level. Befitting its name, coffee from Flores is known for sweet chocolate aroma, almost syrup, heavy body, low acidity, floral and woody notes.

Natural Papua Wamena

New Guinea is the second largest island in the world. The west half of the island is known as Papua of Indonesia, Baliem Valley in the central highlands of the Jayawijaya region, surrounding the town of Wamena is the main location of coffee Arabica production with altitudes between 1.600 to 2.500 meters above sea level, creating ideal conditions for super hard bean (SHB) Arabica production.

Papua produce a small amount of Arabica coffee compare to other part of Indonesia, only few tons annually and not sufficient to fit container for export. The area is extremely remote, with most coffee growing areas inaccessible by road and nearly untouched by the modern world. All coffee is shade grown, in a stunning natural environment that is home to the Bird of Paradise and uncounted other species. The tropical forests of Papua are among the most bio-diverse habitat on earth.

Most of this coffee is processed entirely by hand and transported in backpack by foot, which makes this coffee both rare tasty.

RAKATA - Fine Robusta

RAKATA is an new emerged active volcano of Krakatoa that exploded entiredly and sink to the sea at 1881, located at Sunda strait between island of Sumatra and Java. Indonesia produce 80% Robusta in many regions and islands, most of them coming from sumatra and Java region.

RAKATA content Fine Robusta picked ripe (Petik Merah), with correct and care processes, while maintain full body and enhanced other character; sweet, fruity, caramel, woody, low acidity, stong but smooth and less bitter with moderate caffeine contents. Maharaja retail pack for the rosted coffee packed in 200g/pack for specialty coffee available in grounded or whole beans, with colorfull foil bag and tin tie and product label to distinguish between coffee origins, and 100g pack for Wild Kopi Luwak origins, sometime with gift boxes.

Expire date Reading

We try to keed the roasted bean as fresh as possible by suppling weekly basis, However all the roasted bean from Maharaja Coffee expired within 365 days from the date of roasting / production, but most of or product in the retail shop will draw before the expired date, we try to keep only 120 days in the market.
